Milano
People say that this city is similar to NYC and I guess I can kind of see it… but not really. Both have some tall buildings but Milan seemed more like an Italian mini-London to me. It was the perfect city to spend just the day at. I’m so glad I went. The Duomo in Milan is absolutely breathtaking.

Castello di Trebbio
A castle from the 11th century, still inhabited is the location of our amazing wine tour. We learned about the Chianti area, what makes a good olive oil, the history of the Pazzi family–the castle’s original owners–and how the current owners ended up with a crazy love story and a 40 room, 800-acre castle all to themselves.

Pisa
Though quite underwhelming was so much fun. We were all laughing at the tourists and their funny poses. Well, we weren’t laughing at them… more with them because we acted the same way. We saw the leaning tower, the basilica (?), a cemetery and the church. All were beautiful.

Lucca
This tiny city brought so much joy to our day. We ate the traditional dish of the area and went on a bike tour around the city’s walls. We saw the original Colosseum, still in its original shape but now decorated with colorful walls and shops.

Bologna / EATALY World
Bologna had the same feeling as Florence but without the cars, so it was a little more safe feeling. There was music playing on every corner and the shopping there was to die for… as was the colorful walls 😉
